About Author

Katie Bagli is an award-winning children’s author who is passionate about writing on themes of nature and the environment.  She has over 50 published titles to her credit.

Through her writing, Katie wants to sensitise children so that they become change-makers for a happier planet.

Katie is in her element when interacting with children, and in spite of her mop of silver hair, she becomes a child herself. Besides writing, she also indulges in other nature-related activities, such as conducting nature walks, holding creative nature writing and wildlife poetry workshops, and story-telling sessions of her own books. Through these activities, Katie hopes to infect others with her passion for the wild.

Katie is also Director of Education of Jane Goodall Institute India’s (JGII) Roots & Shoots programme.  One of JGII’s biggest projects is ‘Oceans are Us.’ Katie, along with her team, has developed immersive content for much-needed ocean literacy, which they hope to share with all Roots & Shoots schools across India.

Katie confesses that she gets her inspiration to write while walking her dog, Chloe.
