About the author

Ketaki Mazumdar is an educationist and an author of children's books. As an educationist, she has taught at the Birla Public School, Mumbai for eight years before joining The Cathedral & John Connon School, Mumbai, where she taught for 24 years. During her tenure there, she was conferred the National Award for Teachers by the President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, in 2002. 

In 2004, Ketaki Mazumdar set up the Pre-Primary Section of The Cathedral & John Connon School in the idyllic and historical precincts of St. Thomas' Cathedral, where she retired as Headmistress. 

Her deep insights into the field of education and her love for children led to an invitation to spearhead the Singapore International School's Prep Section at Marine Drive, Mumbai.

She still continues to guide and mentor teachers and educators. 

Popcorn Hooray! sees Ketaki continuing her journey, bringing joy, curiosity, imagination and a sense of fun to young minds through her writing.
